Deborah Wise - Back Step

Macheunploot: Recorded in Farringdon in 1999.  Deborah wrote and sings on the track.  Adem Ilhan plays most instruments heard including double bass.  Experiment to deliver an Alice Coltrane feel and sound. Copywrite 1998.

Deborah Wise - Love Did Wander

Macheunploot: The saga continues.  This track talks about young lovers coming back together after a major break up, only to find that this causes continual heartache.  Once again, Deborah wrote this track in 1998 and recorded it with Adem Ilhan who played practically all the instruments and experimented with the production. Copywrite 1998.

Deborah Wise - Torres Cinco

Macheunploot: Deborah wrote this song in Spain in 1998 when she split from her childhood sweetheart.  Whilst this track is usually performed with an acoustic guitar only, Adem Ilhan, who was in Fridge at the time, offered to produce and record it, playing around with varying instruments and production.  The Cruickshank twins also feature on this track and all four attempt to make good use of guitar, bass, keyboards, glockenspiel and theremin. Copywrite 1998

Deborah Wise's final speech as Rhonda in Zappa's Thing-Fish

Final Scene - Rhonda's Speech through to Final Climax.  Deborah Wise plays the female lead of Rhonda in the world premiere showing of Frank Zappa's Thing-Fish authorised by his wife Gail Zappa for the BAC (Battersea Arts Centre), London in 2003.  Directed by Wolf E Rahlfs.  Production - Stagecraft Entertainment.  X Rated, beware!

Deborah Wise - Encounters The Movie

Deborah Wise in Encounters The Movie.  A Mike Leigh style film whereby there was no script and all scenes were improvised.  The story begins at a speed dating evening where only a handful of people attend, and the organiser, played by David Kershaw, feels he has a failed evening on his hands.  The actors only knew the ins and outs of their own characters and no one in the creative process, including the director, knew how each character's story would pan out.  The result is a heartbreakingly warm and funny film and it won Best Feature Film at 3 Film Festivals - L.A. Cheapshot, Toronto ReelHeART Film Festival and Cornwall Film Festival.  Available to buy on DVD from Amazon.com.
